The EOTech EXPS2 and EXPS3 are capable holographic sights held back by one persistent problem: the OEM mount places the optic centerline at 1.725 inches, a height that falls between the two standard cheekweld references used on modern carbines. Getting to 1.93 inches requires a riser stacked beneath the factory mount, and reaching 2.26 inches means adding yet more hardware — extra weight, extra stack height, and more interfaces that can shift under recoil.

Arisaka’s Mk2 Mount sidesteps all of that by replacing the OEM mount entirely rather than building on top of it. This particular variant sets the optic centerline at 2.26 inches, which suits shooters running a higher cheekweld — typically those using a stock with a raised comb, a helmet-mounted NVG setup, or a similar configuration that calls for a taller sight line. Because the Mk2 replaces the factory mount rather than supplementing it, the total package stays lighter and lower-profile than a stacked riser solution.

The mount is CNC machined from 7075-T651 aluminum and finished in matte black anodize. It is compatible with all reticle variants of the EXPS3 and EXPS2, but it will not fit the EXPS3-HD, XPS3, XPS2, 518, 558, 552, or 512 — the geometry of those models differs enough that the Mk2 Mount does not apply.
