Description

Getting a scope truly level in rings or a one-piece mount is one of those tasks that looks simple until you try to do it by eye. Small rotational errors in the tube translate directly into point-of-impact shifts when you dial elevation, because the reticle traces an arc rather than a straight vertical line. The Arisaka Defense Optic Leveler Combo addresses this mechanically rather than relying on bubble levels or visual reference points that introduce their own sources of error.

The system works through a wedge-and-base arrangement. The base sits on the Picatinny rail or one-piece mount directly beneath the scope’s turret cluster. A wedge is then slid in from the side, and as the two 11-degree ramped surfaces engage, the rising top face of the wedge pushes upward against the turret cluster and rotates the scope until it is level. There is no guesswork — the geometry does the work. Once the scope has rotated into position, you tighten one ring, pull the leveler clear, and finish torquing the other ring.

The combo includes both the base and two wedge sizes to cover a wide range of scope and mount combinations. The small wedge handles gaps between the rail and turret cluster from 0.190″ to 0.730″; the large wedge covers 0.680″ to 1.200″. One important constraint: the system requires a flat surface directly below the turret cluster, so certain low-profile one-piece mounts may not leave enough clearance. The leveler also assumes the scope’s own turret cluster and reticle are properly aligned — an assumption that holds for quality optics but may not for bargain-tier glass.

Machined from 6061-T651 aluminum with black anodizing and made in the USA, this is a purpose-built tool rather than a workaround, and it earns a permanent place in any serious mounting kit.
