Description

The Arisaka Defense Vertical Foregrip for Picatinny rails is a straightforward tool for shooters who want a solid purchase on the handguard without adding unnecessary bulk or visual clutter. It is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished in a hard anodized coating, so the grip holds up to rough handling without adding meaningful weight to the build.

The profile is worth noting: the top edge is radiused and tapers gradually down to the mounting surface, which keeps the grip sitting close to the rail rather than projecting aggressively. That geometry makes it comfortable whether you are running a C-clamp hold or a more traditional vertical grip position, and it keeps the silhouette low enough that it does not catch on gear or vehicle surfaces.

The mounting system is where this grip differs from conventional designs. Rather than external clamp hardware, it uses an internal recoil lug that is driven outward by a 7/64-inch Allen wrench to lock against the rail from inside the grip body. The lug and its mating screw are captured, so neither can be lost during removal. Notably, the wrench direction is counterintuitive — turning counterclockwise extends the lug to tighten, clockwise retracts it — and Arisaka recommends cycling through that motion before mounting the grip to build the muscle memory before you are working on an assembled rifle. The result is a mounting interface with no rattle and no external hardware to snag or loosen under recoil. The grip is hollow with an open end cap, which keeps material minimal and provides a convenient storage cavity if needed.
