Description
The SAM7K-44 is a compact 7.62x39mm pistol built around an AK pattern action, suited to shooters who want a short-platform AK that can run standard-pressure 7.62x39mm ammunition without the feeding and reliability compromises that sometimes come with lighter-duty builds. It is a practical choice for home defense, vehicle use, and pistol-class hunting where a maneuverable platform is a priority.
The receiver is milled from a hot-die hammer forged blank produced by Arsenal Co. of Bulgaria. Hammer forging densifies and aligns the grain structure of the steel, eliminating the internal voids and cooling deformations that can form when a receiver is cut from bar stock. After forging, each blank goes through over five and a half hours of CNC milling before it is ready for assembly. The result is a receiver that is both lighter and more dimensionally consistent than cast or bar-stock alternatives, and one that is built to maintain headspace and lockup through a service life measured in decades rather than years.
The front sight block is threaded in a standard Krink configuration — 24×1.5mm right-hand threads — so the muzzle is ready to accept a wide range of suppressors and muzzle devices without an adapter. A Picatinny rail at the rear of the receiver provides a mounting point for a brace, a folding stock mechanism, or a rear-mounted optic without requiring permanent modification. A QD sling swivel socket and a side scope rail are also included, giving you multiple attachment options without adding hardware. The adjustable rear sight allows range corrections out to 500 meters. The pistol ships with one five-round magazine along with an oil bottle, cleaning rod, and cleaning kit.
