Description
The B5 Systems P-Grip 23 is a direct replacement for the standard A2 pistol grip on AR-platform rifles, built for shooters who find the factory grip angle too shallow for comfortable wrist alignment during extended use. The key change B5 made is a more vertical grip angle paired with an extended tang — the tang covers more of the rear of the lower receiver, which reduces the gap that can pinch the web of the hand during sustained fire and helps maintain a consistent hand position relative to the trigger.
The grip surface uses an aggressive texture throughout, giving the hand something to lock onto rather than relying on grip pressure alone. This matters most when hands are wet or gloved, where a smoother surface would require noticeably more effort to keep the shooting hand from shifting under recoil. The grip is constructed from a polymer composite that keeps weight down without sacrificing the rigidity needed to handle the torque of the grip screw and the repeated stress of handling.
The bottom of the grip is open from the factory and will accept a battery grip plug if you want to use that space for storage, though that plug is a separate purchase. Current production includes an upgraded Torx head screw in place of the older hardware. The grip fits standard mil-spec AR-15 and M4 lower receivers without modification — it is a genuine drop-in replacement. Made in the USA by B5 Systems.
