Description
The B5 Systems Quick Disconnect End Plate is a straightforward upgrade for any AR-platform rifle where a dedicated single-point sling attachment makes practical sense. Rather than routing a sling through a receiver extension or relying on an improvised solution, this end plate adds a proper QD socket at the rear of the lower, giving you a clean, purpose-built anchor point that works equally well from the left or right side.
The plate is machined from a single piece of steel, which matters for two reasons: there are no welds or joints to fail under load, and the one-piece construction is dimensionally consistent enough to allow proper staking once installed. Staking locks the castle nut and end plate together permanently, the way a military armorer would leave it — this design is built with that process in mind rather than fighting it. The limited-rotation feature keeps the QD socket from spinning freely, so the swivel stays oriented where you put it and the sling doesn’t wrap or bind during use.
The manganese phosphate finish — the same commercial-grade Parkerizing used on military small arms components — resists corrosion without adding the slick surface that bare steel or some coatings produce. It also accepts oil and CLP readily, which helps where the end plate sits close to a sweaty support hand or gets exposed to weather. The plate is compatible with all mil-spec receiver extension dimensions, so it fits the vast majority of AR-15, M4, and M16 pattern lowers without modification. At half an ounce, it adds no meaningful weight to the build.
