The receiver starts as a hot-die hammer forging from Arsenal’s Bulgarian factory — a process that compresses the steel under a five-ton hammer rather than machining it from bar stock, which refines grain structure and eliminates the internal voids that can develop during conventional casting or bar-stock machining. Each forged blank then goes through more than five hours of milling before assembly, so the finished receiver is both dense and precisely fitted. The bolt and bolt carrier are forged by the same process.

The barrel is cold hammer-forged on Steyr-derived equipment and receives a hard-chrome lining in the bore and chamber. Chrome lining primarily serves corrosion resistance and wear life under sustained firing rather than accuracy per se, and it makes the rifle tolerant of steel-cased ammunition and inconsistent cleaning schedules. The 1:9.44-inch twist rate is matched to the standard range of 7.62x39mm projectile weights — heavier or lighter projectiles outside that range may not stabilize as reliably, so it rewards standard mil-spec ammunition selection.

The under-folding stock locks to both sides of the receiver on four pins and folds straight back rather than tilting down, keeping it perpendicular to the bore when extended and giving a stable cheek weld that a tilt-down design compromises. The included FIME Enhanced Fire Control Group replaces the factory double-hook trigger with a single-hook unit engineered to eliminate trigger slap and shorten travel, which is a meaningful functional change for anyone planning to put significant round counts through the rifle.
