Description
The B5 Systems Type 22 P-Grip is a straightforward upgrade for AR-platform shooters who find the standard A2 grip angle uncomfortable over extended sessions. The A2 geometry forces the wrist into a downward cant that works against a natural trigger pull; the Type 22 corrects this with a steeper, more vertical angle that keeps the wrist in line with the bore, reducing the muscular tension that builds up during sustained fire or precision work.
The design omits a backstrap entirely, which lets the hand ride higher on the grip and shortens the distance between the palm and the trigger. For shooters with smaller hands, or anyone running a rifle that needs the trigger reach tightened up, this is a meaningful ergonomic adjustment rather than a cosmetic one. The grip plug cutout at the base accepts optional B5 Systems Grip Plugs, giving you a modest but useful internal storage cavity without adding bulk to the exterior profile.
Construction is mil-spec polymer, which keeps weight low and holds up to field conditions without the brittleness of cheaper materials. The surface texture is aggressive enough to maintain purchase in wet or cold conditions. At under two ounces, it adds nothing meaningful to the overall weight of the build. Made in the USA by B5 Systems.
