Description
The B5 Systems Type 22 P-Grip is a direct replacement for the standard A2 grip on AR-platform rifles, designed for shooters who want better hand position and more consistent trigger control without modifying their lower receiver. The swap is straightforward — the P-Grip seats in the same footprint as the factory grip, so no fitting or machining is required.
The core design change from a standard A2 grip is the increased vertical angle. A more upright grip angle moves the wrist into a straighter, more neutral position relative to the bore, which makes it easier to keep the trigger finger aligned correctly through the pull rather than having to compensate with wrist rotation. This matters most during rapid fire or when shooting from unconventional positions where grip pressure tends to shift.
The backstrap is eliminated entirely, which lets the hand ride higher on the grip and increases the contact area between palm and frame. More contact means less tendency for the grip to shift under recoil or during extended strings of fire. The aggressive texturing reinforces that retention without any external hardware or grip tape. The grip is built from mil-spec polymer, which keeps weight low — it comes in at 1.90 oz. — and holds up to the temperature swings and handling that field use puts on a rifle. Width measures 1.24 inches, consistent with standard AR ergonomics.
The grip is compatible with a Battery Grip Plug (sold separately) if internal storage matters to you. This particular variant is finished in OD Green. Made in the USA.
