Description
The BCM Gunfighter Grip Mod 1 is a purpose-built replacement for the standard mil-spec AR-15 pistol grip, aimed at shooters who have adopted modern, squared-up fighting stances rather than the bladed, elbow-out positions the original M16 grip was designed around. The traditional grip angle made sense when doctrine called for a bladed stance, but that geometry works against you when you square off to the target — it forces the wrist into an awkward upward bend that disrupts trigger finger alignment and adds fatigue over a long string of fire. The Mod 1’s reduced angle keeps the wrist straighter and the trigger finger more naturally in line with the bore, which translates to more consistent trigger pulls without compensating with your grip pressure.
The high-rise beavertail backstrap fills the gap at the rear of the grip frame, giving the palm a fuller purchase and reducing the tendency to shift hold between shots. Inside the grip body, a hinged trap door opens to a storage compartment sealed with a water-resistant rubber gasket — practical for a battery, a spare key, or a few rounds of emergency ammunition kept dry and secure. Two modular inserts are included: an extended insert that bridges the gap between the pistol grip and the trigger guard on standard lowers, and a smooth insert sized for rifles with a larger factory-integrated trigger guard. Both inserts swap without tools, so the grip fits across a wide range of AR-platform lower receivers without modification. The polymer construction is impact-resistant and the grip is test-fitted before it leaves the factory. Made in the USA.
