Description
The B-14 HMR Left-Hand is built for the southpaw shooter who wants a single platform that moves between precision hunting and long-range target work without asking for compromises on either end. The left-hand action is a true mirror configuration, not an ambidextrous accommodation, so the bolt handle, ejection port, and safety all sit naturally under a left-handed shooter’s strong hand.
Bergara’s barrel is made from 4140 chrome-moly steel and finished in Graphite Black Cerakote, which resists corrosion and surface wear without the brittleness of some harder coatings. The barrel runs fully free-floated, meaning the stock exerts no contact pressure along its length, so point of impact stays consistent as the barrel heats across a string of fire or as a wooden component might otherwise swell with humidity. A 1-in-10 inch twist rate suits the heavier .308 projectiles commonly used for longer-range work — bullets in the 168–175 grain range — while still stabilizing standard 147- and 150-grain hunting loads effectively. The muzzle is threaded and ships with a thread protector installed.
The stock is the HMR’s defining structural feature: a molded chassis integrates directly into the polymer body, providing a rigid, repeatable bedding surface that eliminates the bedding compound drift associated with traditional pillar or glass-bed setups. An adjustable cheekpiece lets the shooter set a consistent weld for a given optic height, and length-of-pull spacers allow the stock to fit a range of body types or layered clothing. QD flush cups are built into the stock for direct sling attachment. The detachable AICS-pattern magazine means aftermarket feeding options are broadly available. A two-position safety gives the shooter a clear, positive condition between ready and safe.
