Description
The B-14 Wilderness HMR Carbon is built for hunters and long-range shooters who need a capable magnum rifle they can carry hard in rough country without sacrificing precision at distance. It fits anyone running .300 Winchester Magnum loads who wants to keep pack weight honest while retaining the mechanical accuracy of a purpose-built precision platform.
The core of the rifle is Bergara’s CURE Carbon Fiber barrel, a No. 6 contour wrapped construction that sheds meaningful weight compared to a steel barrel of equivalent profile while also dissipating heat more efficiently across sustained strings of fire. The 1-in-10 inch twist rate is well-matched to the .300 Win Mag’s conventional bullet weight range—heavy-for-caliber hunting projectiles and long-range match bullets in the 200–220 grain class stabilize reliably at that rate, so handloaders and factory ammo shooters have broad selection without needing to compromise. The barrel is threaded at 5/8-24 with an Omni muzzle brake fitted at the factory, giving the shooter a functional recoil-management device out of the box and a standard thread pitch for swapping to other muzzle accessories.
The B-14 action uses a two-lug bolt with a coned nose and breech, a geometry that guides cartridges into the chamber smoothly even under field conditions where the shooter isn’t taking deliberate time on each cycling stroke. A sliding plate extractor provides positive case control through the extraction cycle. The entire action wears a Sniper Grey Cerakote finish, the same as the CURE barrel, offering consistent corrosion resistance across the metal components. The stock is Bergara’s HMR molded design built around a mini-chassis, which stiffens the bedding area and provides a repeatable interface between action and stock without the full weight penalty of an aluminum chassis. The rifle ships with one five-round AICS detachable magazine.
