The Premier HMR Pro is Bergara’s answer to a rifle that can move between a long-range precision match and a varmint field without asking the shooter to compromise. It is built for the shooter who wants a repeatable, chassis-grade platform without committing to a full metal chassis system in weight or price.

The action runs a two-lug design with a separate floating bolt head — a construction detail that lets the bolt head self-align to the lug abutments on lockup rather than relying on tight tolerance stacking throughout the bolt body. The cone-shaped bolt nose guides cartridges into the chamber smoothly under field conditions, and the spring-loaded sliding plate extractor sits at the front of the lower locking lug, keeping extraction geometry consistent. The one-piece stainless bolt body accepts a threaded-in handle, while the bolt head, gas shield, and shroud are Nitrided for durability and self-lubrication without additional surface treatments.

The stock uses a molded HMR shell with an integrated mini-chassis, which provides the bedding consistency of a chassis system while keeping the overall package lighter than a full aluminum chassis build. The barrel is fully free-floated, removing contact-point variables from group to group. An adjustable cheek piece and length-of-pull spacers let the shooter fit the rifle to their hold rather than adjusting their hold to the rifle. Integrated QD flush cups and swivel mounts mean a sling is a tool decision, not a hardware project.

The 1-in-9 inch twist rate is well-suited to the heavier .22-250 projectiles in the 55–60 grain range that perform best at extended range — faster than the traditional 1-in-14 territory, which opens up bullet selection considerably for precision work. The barrel wears a Tactical Grey Cerakote finish, and the muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 with a thread protector included. Scope mounting uses the Remington 700 footprint with 8-40 screws.
