Description
The Bergara Premier HMR Pro is built for shooters who want a single platform that can move between long-range hunting and precision target work without compromise. It is a purpose-built bolt-action rifle, not a hunting rifle with match pretensions or a competition gun made to look field-ready.
The stock centers everything else. Bergara integrates a mini-chassis directly into the stock body, which gives the action a rigid, repeatable bedding surface without the full weight penalty of a chassis system. That integration also supports a fully free-floated barrel, so pressure changes from sling tension or shooting position do not print on the point of impact. The cheek piece adjusts for height and the length of pull adjusts via spacers, which matters when the rifle needs to fit different shooters or accommodate a tall riflescope objective. QD flush cup sling mounts are built into the stock rather than bolted on as an afterthought.
The receiver is stainless steel finished in Tactical Gray Cerakote, which resists corrosion in field conditions without requiring the maintenance bare stainless demands. The barrel carries the same Tactical Gray Cerakote finish and is threaded at the muzzle, allowing the shooter to mount a suppressor or other muzzle device directly without an adapter. At a 1:7.5-inch twist rate, the barrel is optimized for heavier, high-BC projectiles that 25 Creedmoor handloaders and ammunition manufacturers are developing for extended-range work — lighter bullets remain stable as well, but the twist rate reflects where the cartridge performs best. The 24-inch tube gives the cartridge the barrel time it needs to reach full velocity potential, which matters particularly at the distances this rifle is designed to engage.
