Description
The B-14 Wilderness Sierra in left-hand configuration is built for hunters who demand a field-ready bolt rifle that doesn’t require trading accuracy for packability. The left-hand action is a true mirror-image design, not an adapter, which keeps the bolt throw and ejection pattern natural for left-handed shooters and avoids the awkward cross-bolt reach that right-hand actions force on them.
The 20-inch barrel is the deliberate choice here. Compared to a standard 24-inch hunting barrel, you lose a modest amount of muzzle velocity with 6.5 Creedmoor, but you gain a rifle that is meaningfully easier to carry through timber and to shoulder from a tight position. For most hunting distances, that velocity difference is inconsequential. The barrel is fluted and threaded, and the rifle ships with an Omni muzzle brake fitted, which offsets a portion of the recoil increase that comes with the shorter barrel length.
The 1-in-8-inch twist rate is well-suited to the heavier, high-BC projectiles that make 6.5 Creedmoor useful at distance — bullets in the 140-grain range stabilize reliably at this rate. Shooters who prefer lighter loads in the 120-grain class will also stabilize correctly, giving the rifle genuine flexibility in ammunition selection without compromise.
The stock is Bergara’s SoftTouch finish over a fixed synthetic chassis with a camouflage pattern, chosen for field durability and grip retention in wet conditions. The stainless steel receiver resists corrosion without requiring the maintenance that a blued action would demand in the field. With a 4+1 capacity and a performance trigger, the platform is configured for the shot opportunities that matter in a hunting context rather than for volume.
