The Bootleg CamLok is a free-float handguard built for shooters who want a clean, tool-light installation without sacrificing rigidity once the handguard is locked down. The central feature is the CamLok quick-mount system, which secures the handguard to the barrel nut using a cam-driven mechanism rather than the wrench-tightened barrel nut approaches common to most free-float designs. This means the handguard can be installed and removed without a dedicated armorer’s wrench, which matters when you are swapping uppers or fitting the handguard in the field. The lockup is mechanical rather than friction-dependent, so there is no torque spec to hit or strip.

Free-floating the barrel removes the handguard from any contact with the barrel itself, which eliminates the variable of shooter grip pressure influencing point of impact — a meaningful consideration for precision work at distance. The M-LOK slots distributed along the handguard give you a low-profile mounting surface for lights, grips, and other accessories at any position without adding rail weight where you do not need it.
