Description

Keeping a rifle bore clean after a range session doesn’t have to mean hauling out a cleaning rod, a jag, and a stack of patches. The BoreSnake for .338 and .340 caliber rifles collapses the whole process into a single pull. Thread the brass-weighted cord through the chamber end, drop it out the muzzle side, and draw the snake through: an integrated bronze brush loosens and scrubs carbon fouling from the rifling, while the thick flossing tail that follows sweeps the barrel clear of what the brush knocked loose. The surface area that tail puts against the bore is considerably larger than a standard cleaning patch, which is why one pass does the work that multiple patch changes would otherwise accomplish.

This version ships with the BoreSnake Den, a compact plastic carrying case sized to hold the snake between uses. The lid snaps into the body of the case and doubles as the pull handle, so there’s no separate hardware to lose and nothing to dig out of a range bag. The clear case lets you check whether the snake needs washing without opening it. For a .338 shooter running a bolt gun in the field or clearing fouling after a long precision session, the Den keeps the whole kit organized and pocket-sized. The snake itself is machine washable, so it stays serviceable over the long term rather than needing replacement every few outings.
