Description
The B&T Telescopic Brace Mount is designed for shooters running an HK MP5 or SP5 platform who want a purpose-built, length-adjustable cheek support solution from the same manufacturer that has spent decades equipping military and law enforcement units worldwide. This is not a universal fit adapted to work — it is engineered specifically for the HK receiver geometry, which means the fit is clean and the mounting interface does not require shimming, tape, or workarounds.
The telescoping mechanism adjusts through five distinct positions, which gives meaningful flexibility for different shooting stances, body proportions, and the presence or absence of a chest rig. Each position locks positively; the shooter presses the paddle to release and cycles to the next setting, so length adjustments are made deliberately rather than accidentally under recoil. The included elastomer buffer absorbs rearward impulse at the point of contact, which matters when shooting a blowback-operated platform where the bolt carrier generates a sharper pulse than a gas-impingement or piston rifle of similar caliber.
The telescoping rails that carry the brace arms extend parallel to the receiver but sit slightly proud of the receiver surface by design — this prevents the rails from bearing against and marking the finish of the host firearm during cycling. Construction reflects B&T’s production standards for duty-grade accessories rather than range novelties: the materials and tolerances are consistent with what you would expect from a manufacturer whose products go into professional service. If you are building a serious SP5 or MP5 host and want a brace that integrates with the platform rather than being grafted onto it, this is the correct starting point.
