Placing the illuminated G5i reticle on the first focal plane means the subtensions remain accurate at every magnification setting, so range estimations and holds are consistent whether you are dialing down to 5x for a close transition or running full magnification on a distant target. The 9-brightness illumination system, with two additional night-vision-compatible settings, covers low-light conditions without washing out the reticle. A minimum parallax distance of 15 yards extends its usefulness to rimfire ranges without modification. The included 3-position power change lever accommodates either hand and can be removed entirely for a cleaner profile.
