Description
The Cloud Defensive REIN 3.0 Micro is a weapon light built for rifles and carbines where rail space is at a premium — short-barreled platforms, suppressed builds, or any setup where a full-length light would crowd the handguard. Despite its compact footprint, it puts out 95,000 candela, which is the focused, penetrating intensity that matters for pushing light through smoke, fog, or tinted glass rather than simply flooding the immediate area with lumens.
The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat anodize, the same specification used in hard-use military and LE equipment because the coating bonds into the surface rather than sitting on top of it, giving it better resistance to wear and corrosion than standard anodizing. Cloud Defensive uses a three-piece modular construction so the light is field-serviceable — individual sections can be replaced or inspected without special tools. The lens is 3mm thick glass, which Cloud Defensive has validated to survive close-range 5.56 Simunition impacts, a meaningful threshold for a weapon-mounted component that sits forward of the muzzle.
The Battery Jack system mechanically secures the cell inside the housing, eliminating the micro-movement that causes flicker under recoil — a problem that occurs in lights with looser battery retention when the firearm cycles. The REIN 3.0 Micro accepts both 18350 and CR123 batteries, giving the shooter flexibility between a rechargeable format and a widely available primary cell. The remote switch integrates cable management directly into its design to keep routing clean and snag-free, and the tailcap can function as a standalone backup if the remote switch is ever compromised. IPX-8 water resistance means full submersion is not a concern in field conditions. Manufactured in the USA with a lifetime warranty against defects.
