Description
The CMMG Banshee Mk4 in 9mm is built for shooters who want a compact, pistol-caliber platform that operates with the same manual of arms as a standard AR-15. That familiarity matters: anyone already comfortable on an AR15 can pick this up without relearning controls, manipulations, or muscle memory. The Mk4 lower is a standard AR-15-pattern receiver, which means it runs on 9mm AR conversion magazines — and if you already own a supply of PMAGs, CMMG’s 9mm AR conversion adapters let you put those to work here rather than building a separate magazine inventory from scratch.
The five-inch barrel keeps the overall package tight without sacrificing the mechanical reliability that comes from a properly tuned pistol-caliber system. Pistol-caliber builds run at significantly lower pressures than rifle cartridges, which translates into gentler impulse and less wear on components over time. The Mk4’s ambidextrous safety addresses both the growing demand for left-hand-compatible controls and the practical reality that strong-hand shooting positions shift in a hurry under field conditions.
The EML handguard runs full-length M-LOK slots along both sides and the underside, with additional M-LOK placement between the top Picatinny rail sections. That layout gives you unobstructed rail real estate for lights, foregrips, or slings without forcing you into a single attachment point. The platform ships optics-ready, so you are not paying for a fixed iron sight system you would likely remove anyway — your choice of red dot or magnified optic mounts directly without an adapter. The Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish is CMMG’s MDBRNZ designation, applied across the receiver and handguard for a unified appearance and corrosion resistance.
