The CMMG Resolute Mk4 is a purpose-built precision carbine aimed at shooters who want meaningful reach in a gas-operated semi-automatic platform without moving up to a larger action. Chambered in 6mm ARC, it occupies a useful middle ground between the flat-shooting demands of longer-range field work and the handling characteristics of a standard AR-pattern rifle. The cartridge was developed with long-range ballistic efficiency in mind, and the 1:7.5-inch twist rate is matched to stabilize the heavier, high-BC 6mm projectiles that make the caliber worthwhile at distance — lighter, shorter bullets can be shot through it, but the barrel is optimized for the projectile weights where 6mm ARC earns its keep.

The mid-length gas system fitted to this rifle bleeds pressure at a point farther down the barrel than a carbine-length arrangement, which translates to a longer, softer impulse at the bolt carrier — the expansion gas has more time to dissipate before it cycles the action, reducing the sharp spike that makes carbine-length guns feel snappy under rapid fire. The 5/8-24 threaded muzzle ships with a Zeroed SV muzzle brake installed, and the thread pattern accommodates a wide range of suppressors and muzzle devices without an adapter. The CMMG EML15 M-Lok handguard provides a clean interface for lights, bipods, or other rail-mounted accessories along its full length. Controls are ambidextrous, the RipStock buttstock adjusts for length of pull, and the Armor Black Cerakote finish ties the build together with a durable, corrosion-resistant surface treatment. The rifle ships without sights, so budget accordingly for an optic — the 6mm ARC’s practical advantage only materializes with glass that can use it.
