Description

The American Defense Manufacturing UIC Mod 1 is built for shooters who want a serious duty-grade AR platform rather than a commodity rifle assembled from commodity parts. The 14.5-inch barrel keeps overall length compact without the weight penalty of a longer profile, and the mid-length gas system that comes with it spreads the dwell time across a longer stroke than a carbine-length setup would. In practical terms that means the bolt carrier moves rearward with less of the sharp, violent impulse that carbine-length gas ports are known for, which translates to softer felt recoil and reduced wear on the bolt carrier group over a high round count. The ALG ACT trigger is a meaningful upgrade over a standard mil-spec trigger group. It retains mil-spec geometry and reliability but uses a heavier hammer spring and polished engagement surfaces to deliver a cleaner break without sacrificing reset consistency. The free-float M-LOK handguard eliminates barrel-to-handguard contact entirely, so pressure changes from a sling or a supported position do not shift point of impact. The Raptor-LT ambidextrous charging handle addresses the left-handed shooter and anyone running a suppressor, where blowback through a standard charging handle becomes a real issue.
