Description
The CMMG Resolute MK47 is built for shooters who want to run 7.62x39mm through an AR-platform rifle without the feed-reliability compromises that come from adapting a standard AR lower to AK-pattern rounds. CMMG’s MK47 design uses a purpose-built lower receiver with an enlarged magazine well that accepts AK-pattern magazines directly, so the cartridge follows a geometry it was designed for rather than being forced through an AR-spec feed path.
The 1:10″ twist rate is well-matched to the range of bullet weights that dominate 7.62x39mm commercial and surplus production, roughly 122 to 125 grain projectiles. A faster twist would over-stabilize those lighter pills and could open groups; this rate keeps them settled without limiting your ammunition options for common hunting and general-use loads.
The rifle ships in CMMG’s Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish, which is applied to both the receiver and the barrel rather than being a stock coating over bare metal. The Zeroed 60/90 degree safety selector gives left-handed shooters a workable 60-degree short-throw position while keeping a conventional 90-degree detent available, so you are not locked into a single manipulation style. The RipStock adjustable stock and M-LOK handguard come standard, meaning the rifle arrives ready for accessories without requiring a furniture swap out of the box. At 16.1 inches of barrel, the rifle produces a meaningful velocity advantage over shorter AK-format builds while keeping the overall package in a practical carbine envelope.
