Description

The Daniel Defense SoundGuard SG-30 is built around a gas-flow architecture developed with KGM Suppressors that addresses one of the persistent complaints about running a suppressor: blowback. Rather than simply trapping and slowing combustion gases, the internal pathing is engineered to push the majority of those gases forward, out of the muzzle end, which means less particulate and toxic gas cycling back through the action and into the shooter’s face. That distinction matters most in volume-fire situations and on shorter-barreled platforms where over-gassing is already a concern.

The patent-pending baffle stack does double work. In addition to managing gas direction, a proprietary coating on the internal surfaces suppresses the flash signature down to near nothing — useful in low-light conditions where a standard muzzle signature would compromise position or night-adapted vision. The same gas-flow geometry is designed to stabilize the bullet’s transition through the suppressor, keeping point-of-impact shift minimal when you move between suppressed and unsuppressed shooting.

Construction is stainless steel throughout — both the tube and the baffle stack — finished in Black High-Temp Cerakote. Stainless tolerates the sustained heat of full-auto fire without the dimensional changes that can cause baffle strikes, and the Cerakote finish resists the corrosive environment inside a suppressor better than bare metal. Compatibility runs from .223 up through 300 PRC, so it works across a wide range of bolt-action and semi-automatic platforms. Mounting is via a direct-thread adapter using the HUB 1.375-24 UNS standard, which provides a repeatable, solid lockup and is compatible with third-party mounts built to that same standard. The adapter and an owner’s manual are included.
