Description

The EOTech EXPS2 with green reticle is built for shooters who need fast, reliable target acquisition at close to mid-range distances and want a sight that works equally well in bright daylight or low light. It operates as a true holographic weapon sight — the reticle is projected onto the lens rather than reflected from an LED, which means the dot does not wash out or appear to bloom when you are looking through it under magnification or in harsh lighting conditions.

The green reticle is worth understanding before you buy. Green wavelengths sit near the peak of human daytime photopic vision, which means the eye picks up green more readily than red in bright outdoor conditions. The result is a dot that reads faster under sunlight without needing to be driven to an uncomfortably high brightness setting. The reticle pattern pairs a 68 MOA outer ring with a 1 MOA center dot. The ring lets you bracket a target and drive the dot to center quickly at close range, while the 1 MOA dot is precise enough for deliberate shots at distance. The bottom of the ring also gives you a holdover reference at very short distances.

The EXPS2 form factor keeps the body compact by moving the battery compartment to a transverse position on the left side of the housing, which shortens the overall footprint and frees up rail space behind the sight for a magnifier if you choose to add one later. Controls — brightness adjustments and power — are also on the left side, accessible without breaking your firing grip. The quick-detach lever at the base lets you pull the sight without tools and return it to zero when remounted. The sight runs on a single CR123A lithium battery and is submersible to ten feet.
