Description

The EOTech EXPS2 is a holographic weapon sight built for shooters who need fast, reliable target acquisition from close quarters out to mid-range distances. Unlike a red dot, which projects an LED onto a lens, the EXPS2 uses holographic technology to place the reticle at a focal plane that keeps it sharp regardless of where your eye sits behind the optic — a meaningful advantage when your cheek weld is inconsistent or you’re shooting on the move.

The 68 MOA speed ring does most of the work at close range by giving you an immediate reference that draws the eye naturally, no fine-motor searching required. The 1 MOA center dot is precise enough for targeted shots at distance without obscuring the point of aim. For shooters using .223 with 62-grain ammunition at standard velocities, the ring and dot together provide three calibrated aiming points at 7 yards, 50 yards, and 200 yards — a practical solution that removes holdover guesswork in common engagement scenarios.

The EXPS series moves the battery to a transverse CR123 configuration, which shortens the overall footprint compared to earlier EOTech designs. This frees up rail space for a magnifier directly behind the sight, and the side-mounted brightness buttons remain accessible even with a magnifier attached. The quick-detach lever locks to 1-inch Weaver and MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails and returns to zero reliably when remounted — useful if the optic needs to come off for any reason. The elevated mount height produces a lower one-third co-witness with standard iron sights, so your backup sighting system remains usable through the lower portion of the window.
