Description
The C&H Precision EDC Enclosed is a pistol optic built specifically for concealed carry and defensive use, where an optic has to function without attention or maintenance between draws. The defining design choice here is the fully enclosed emitter housing. Open-emitter red dots expose the LED and lens assembly to whatever the gun encounters — pocket lint, sweat, rain, carbon blowback on a pistol slide — and a fouled emitter means a degraded or absent dot when it matters. The enclosed housing eliminates that failure mode by sealing the emitter behind a protective shroud, keeping the sight picture clean regardless of conditions.
The multi-reticle system gives you three aiming options from a single optic: a 2.5 MOA dot alone for precise shot placement, a 21 MOA circle alone for fast close-quarters acquisition, and both combined when you want the speed of a large circle with a precise center point for confirmation. That flexibility suits shooters who use the same pistol across different roles — daily carry, home defense, range work — without swapping optics. The 1x magnification means both-eyes-open shooting with no parallax shift between target focus and dot focus.
The optic sits on an RMSc footprint, the compact standard shared by a broad range of milled slides and mounting plates, which keeps your options open if you change host pistols. Ten brightness levels and a shake-to-wake power system mean the optic is always set to the level you left it and draws current only when the gun moves. The body is CNC machined from 7075 aluminum and carries an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it survives submersion rather than just light rain. Battery type is CR1620, a widely available coin cell.
