Description
The G45 is built for shooters who run an EOTECH holographic sight and want genuine reach at distance without giving up the speed of a red dot at close quarters. The switch-to-side mount is the mechanism that makes this practical: instead of removing the magnifier or breaking your cheek weld to stow it, you flip it clear of the sight in one motion and return to true 1x holographic shooting instantly. Flip it back and you have 5x—enough to read chest-height targets at several hundred meters or to call your hits confidently at extended range.
The pairing with EOTECH’s holographic weapon sights is deliberate engineering rather than marketing language. Holographic technology keeps the 1 MOA aiming dot sharp under magnification in a way that a conventional red dot, which projects a dot onto glass, cannot fully match—a larger emitter tends to bloom at 5x. With the G45, the reticle stays crisp and usable at full power, which matters when a blurry aiming point at distance defeats the purpose of adding magnification in the first place.
Internal fog resistance addresses one of the more common failure points for magnifiers used in field conditions: an optic that fogs internally when moving between temperature extremes is useless at the moment it’s needed. The adjustable diopter lets you tune the image for your eye without tools, and the same tool-free system handles vertical and horizontal corrections. The quick-detach lever on the STS mount means the unit comes off the rail without loosening screws, which matters when conditions change and you need to reconfigure quickly. The G45 is assembled in the United States and carries a 10-year warranty.
