Description
The EOTech Vudu 3-9×32 is built for carbine and mid-range rifle work where a compact, rugged optic matters more than raw magnification range. At just 6.8 inches long, it fits naturally on shorter platforms without pushing the balance point forward or conflicting with standard length receivers. That size comes from aircraft-grade aluminum construction, which keeps weight down without sacrificing the structural rigidity needed to hold zero under recoil and hard handling.
The second focal plane placement means the MR5 reticle stays the same apparent size as you dial through the magnification range, so the subtensions printed on it are only accurate at the top of the power range. That is a practical trade-off: the reticle stays clean and uncluttered at lower magnifications, which is useful in close-range or fast-moving situations, but holdover and ranging calculations must account for which power setting you are actually running. The MR5 reticle is illuminated via LED, drawing from a CR2032 battery with ten selectable brightness levels, giving you meaningful control over intensity in varying light conditions without needing tool access.
The integrated base is designed to mate directly with mini-ACOG footprint mounts, so no additional rings are required out of the box, and the mounting geometry is fixed rather than variable. Capped turrets protect the elevation and windage adjustments during field use, and the scope is sealed against fog, water, and shock. The Matte Tan finish suits both field and range environments where a high-gloss surface would be out of place.
