Description

The Steiner T6Xi in its 3-18x configuration is built for precision rifle work where the shooter needs to transition between close-range target identification and extended-distance fire without changing optics. The 56mm objective gathers enough light to keep the image usable in low-contrast conditions—dawn, dusk, or overcast terrain—where smaller objectives begin to lose detail in the shadows. Because the reticle sits on the first focal plane, the SCR2 MIL subtensions remain mathematically correct at every magnification setting, so a holdover or range estimate made at 6x is just as valid as one made at 18x. That eliminates the mental step of confirming power before trusting the reticle, which matters under time pressure or when a target’s distance forces you to a particular magnification rather than a preferred one.

The 34mm main tube provides additional internal adjustment travel compared to a 30mm tube, which gives the turret system more room to work across long-range andwind-driven holds without burning through available elevation or windage. The locking windage and elevation turrets prevent inadvertent adjustments from gear contact or handling, while the second-rotation indicator removes the ambiguity of not knowing which lap of the turret you are on—a meaningful safeguard when a full elevation correction pushes past one revolution. The locking diopter ring lets each shooter dial in eyepiece focus once and keep it there. Illumination is green LED, powered by a CR2450 battery, and the parallax is adjustable from 25 yards to infinity, making the T6Xi workable across a wide range of engagement distances on a single platform.
