Description

The EOTech XPS2-2 in Tan is built for shooters who need a fast, reliable holographic sight on a lightweight platform — particularly those running a compact AR build where rail space and overall weight matter. The XPS series trades the longer footprint of EOTech’s EXPS and 512 housings for a shortened base that requires only about 2¾ inches of rail, leaving room behind the sight for a magnifier or other accessories without pushing the optic uncomfortably forward.

Holographic sights work differently from red dot reflex optics. Rather than projecting a dot onto a lens, the system uses a laser transmission hologram to render the reticle at the focal plane of the target, not on the glass in front of you. The practical result is that the reticle appears to float on the target regardless of where your eye sits behind the sight — true unlimited eye relief with no degradation in reticle clarity if your cheek weld shifts. The sight is also parallax-free, meaning the point of impact does not walk when your eye moves off-center.

The two-dot reticle is designed for specific ranging and hold-over tasks: the outer 68 MOA ring gives you a quick reference for close-quarters target acquisition, while the two 1 MOA aiming dots are stacked vertically within the ring to provide distinct aiming points at different distances without dialing adjustments. Clicks are ½ MOA per step, and the sight offers 20 brightness settings to accommodate changing light conditions. A single CR123A battery powers the unit, with automatic shutoff at eight hours to preserve runtime. The hard-coat aluminum housing is finished in Tan and is submersible and fogproof, making it a practical choice for field use beyond the range.
