Description

The Geissele Super Precision mount is built for shooters who need a red dot positioned at 1.93 inches above the bore — a height that places the optic’s centerline roughly in line with the shooter’s natural head position when using standard-height iron sights as a backup, and works well with helmets or night vision devices that push the head forward and upward. It is designed specifically for the Aimpoint T1 and optics that share the same footprint.

The body is machined from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum rather than assembled from multiple components, which eliminates the tolerance stack that comes with multi-piece designs and keeps the optic rigid under recoil. Retention is handled through Geissele’s refinement of the traditional nut-and-bolt clamping mechanism, which generates 1,400 pounds of clamping force against the Picatinny rail. Three shear lugs are built into the mount to resist lateral movement — these do the structural work of preventing the mount from walking under sustained fire and are the primary reason the design maintains return to zero when removed and reinstalled. The finish is Type 3 hardcoat anodize in black, which is a harder, more wear-resistant treatment than standard Type 2 anodizing and holds up to holster and case abrasion without adding meaningful weight. At 2.5 ounces the mount contributes little to overall rifle weight, which matters when an optic and mount combination is already adding to the front end of a carbine.
