Description

The Single-Stage Precision (SSP) with M4 curved bow is Geissele’s answer to a specific problem: shooters who want a trigger built around single-stage mechanics rather than adapting a two-stage design to a new role. Where a two-stage trigger like the SSA divides the pull into a take-up phase followed by a break, the SSP has no take-up at all. The shoe moves and the hammer falls, which removes one variable from the firing sequence and keeps the shooter’s attention on the target rather than on managing the trigger’s travel.

The break is clean and the reset is short without being ambiguous — there is still a tactile and audible click on reset that tells you the trigger has re-engaged. That combination of zero pre-travel and a definite reset suits precision work at distance, whether that means a measured shot at game or a deliberate target engagement. The architecture is the same regardless of whether the rifle is an AR-15 or AR-10, since the SSP fits both platforms on mil-spec pins.

Construction is S7 tool steel throughout, machined using wire EDM, which holds the geometry of the sear surfaces to tight tolerances without secondary hand-fitting. All components carry a black oxide finish that resists corrosion without adding meaningful thickness to mating surfaces. Pull weight runs in the three-pound range, which keeps the trigger light enough for careful, deliberate fire without crossing into territory that creates unintended discharges under stress. The pull weight is not user-adjustable, so what you receive is what Geissele set at the factory. If a flat trigger bow suits your grip geometry better than the M4 curved bow, Geissele offers the SSP in that configuration as a separate model.
