Description

The Timney AR Targa Two-Stage Short Trigger is built for AR-15 shooters who want a two-stage pull without the long first-stage travel that most two-stage designs carry. The first stage is intentionally shortened, which means you spend less time moving through slack and more time at the wall — useful for competitors and precision-minded shooters who want a repeatable break without sacrificing the staged pull that helps prevent unintended discharges under stress.

Both stages are set at 2 pounds from the factory, giving a combined 4-pound pull. Because the trigger arrives pre-tuned and housed in a self-contained aluminum housing, it drops straight into a standard AR-15 lower using the rifle’s existing hammer and trigger pins — no gunsmithing, no adjustment, and no additional parts required. The straight trigger shoe suits shooters who prefer a consistent finger placement across the full width of the shoe rather than the curved geometry that places your finger lower on the blade.

The housing is finished in red, which makes it easy to visually confirm installation and distinguish it from the surrounding lower components. It is designed for AR-15 lowers with small-pin (.154-inch diameter) hammer and trigger pin holes. If you are running a polymer lower, Timney supplies an aluminum insert to protect the pin holes — worth knowing before you install. This trigger is not compatible with the Bushmaster ACR.
