Description

The HUXWRX HUX RAD Direct Thread Adapter is built for shooters running fixed barrel systems who want a clean, repeatable way to mount a suppressor without a dedicated mount. It threads directly onto a 5/8×24 barrel and presents 1.125×28 internal threads, which makes it fully interchangeable with the RAD 9 and RAD 45 suppressors. That cross-compatibility matters in practice: if you run both pistol-caliber and rifle-caliber cans in the RAD family, a single adapter lets you swap between suppressor bodies without re-timing or hunting for separate mounting hardware.

The body is machined from 17-4 stainless steel and then heat treated before receiving a black nitride finish. Heat-treating 17-4 raises its hardness and tensile strength well above annealed stainless, which matters at a joint that sees the force of every round fired. The black nitride surface treatment penetrates the metal rather than sitting on top of it, so it resists wear and corrosion without adding meaningful dimension to the adapter. Wrench flats are machined into the body so installation and removal can be done to a controlled torque with a standard wrench rather than relying on friction or improvised tools, which reduces the chance of over-tightening against a suppressor’s timing marks.

This is a purpose-specific adapter, not a universal solution. Its value is in the RAD-family ecosystem: if that is the suppressor platform you are already running or plan to run, it provides a durable, properly fitted interface that does not require a separate mount or lockup device.
