Description

KAK Industry built this bolt carrier group for builders who want a known-quality component without paying for a brand name stamped on the side. The carrier ships without markings, which makes it a straightforward choice for OEM builds or anyone who simply doesn’t need rollmarks on a working part.

The carrier itself is machined from 8620 steel and runs the M16 auto profile, which is the full-mass carrier used across mil-spec AR-15 and M16 platforms. That added mass, relative to a cut-down semi-auto carrier, tends to smooth out the cycling impulse and gives the BCG a bit more momentum to push through dirt or carbon fouling. The bolt is cut from a single billet of 9310 steel—a bearing-grade alloy that holds up well under the repeated stress of locking and unlocking—then shot peened and MPI inspected before it ships.

Both the carrier and bolt receive a phosphate base coat, and the carrier bore and gas key interior are chrome lined. Phosphate provides a reasonably corrosion-resistant, low-reflectivity surface that holds oil well. The chrome lining on the interior surfaces is where it earns its keep: those are the areas that see the most heat, fouling, and abrasive wear, and chrome resists all three more effectively than a bare-steel bore would over a long service life. The gas key is machined from 4130 steel and staked using KAK’s hydraulic staking press, which applies consistent force and removes the variability of hand-staking. The extractor is a fully machined one-piece billet part, phosphate coated. The firing pin is turned from 8740 steel and chrome plated. The cam pin is phosphate finished. This is a right-hand, standard profile BCG compatible with 5.56 and 300 Blackout AR-15 uppers.
