Description

KAK Industry built this bolt carrier group around the M16 auto profile carrier, which adds material to the underside of the carrier compared to the standard AR-15 profile. That extra mass smooths the cycling impulse slightly and gives the carrier more momentum through the full operating cycle, which tends to improve reliability in rifles running suppressors, short gas systems, or ammo that runs on the lighter side of the pressure curve.

The carrier body is machined from 8620 steel — an aircraft and bearing-grade alloy chosen for its toughness under repeated impact — properly heat treated and chrome lined internally. The chrome lining does two things: it provides a hard surface that resists erosion from hot propellant gases, and it cuts down the time needed to clean fouling from the interior. The bolt itself is machined from a single billet of 9310 steel, shot peened to relieve surface stress, and MPI inspected to verify structural integrity before it ships. The extractor is a one-piece billet design, phosphate coated for corrosion resistance.

Every exterior surface that sees friction or fouling is finished in NP3. The process combines electroless nickel plating with an embedded fluoropolymer, which means the lubricant is essentially part of the surface itself rather than something applied on top. That self-lubricating quality reduces the amount of maintenance oil needed and helps shed carbon buildup rather than letting it bond. The gas key is staked using a hydraulic press for consistent torque, and the carrier key screws are T25-drive Grade 8 hardware — a detail that matters if you ever need to break the key loose for service. Compatible with standard 5.56 and 300 Blackout bolt-face geometry.
