Description

The KAK Industry K-SPEC is a drop-in AR-15 bolt built around a dual ejector system — two independent ejectors working together rather than the single ejector found on standard mil-spec bolts. The practical effect is more consistent case ejection and reduced sensitivity to variations in gas pressure or ammunition, which matters in suppressed or short-barreled setups where pressure curves behave differently than in a standard rifle-length system.

The ejector holes are positioned at the center of the locking lugs rather than offset, which preserves the full cross-sectional strength of the bolt body at that location. KAK uses mil-spec ejector components throughout, so there are no proprietary springs or pins to source if a part ever needs replacement — standard spare parts work as-is.

The bolt itself is machined from 9310 steel and ground to tight dimensional tolerances, then magnetic particle inspected to catch any subsurface material defects before leaving the facility. The Hard Chrome finish on this variant provides a hard, low-friction surface that resists wear and makes carbon fouling easier to wipe away during cleaning. KAK machines and assembles these bolts entirely at their Missouri facility using CNC turning centers and automated inspection equipment.

The K-SPEC is backwards compatible with standard mil-spec bolt carrier group components, so it installs into any direct impingement AR-15 carrier without modification. If you’re running a carrier you already trust, you can drop this bolt straight in. The included assembly is the bolt only — extractor, ejectors, and associated pins are included as part of the assembled bolt, but no carrier is provided.
