Description

The Plan B HUB Mount from KAK Industry solves a specific problem: getting a HUB-compatible suppressor onto a host that already runs a Plan B muzzle device. Rather than replacing the muzzle device at the host end, this adapter threads onto the Plan B device and presents a 1.375×24 HUB interface to the suppressor. That arrangement lets a shooter run Plan B brakes, compensators, or flash hiders day to day and switch to a suppressor without touching the muzzle device itself.

The taper seal geometry is worth understanding. Where a simple thread-on mount relies entirely on thread engagement to control alignment and gas escape, a taper seal adds a conical mating surface that centers the suppressor and closes off the gas path mechanically. The result is a joint that resists carbon lock — the seized-thread problem that makes hot suppressors difficult to remove — and allows tool-free detachment after a firing session.

KAK machines the mount from 17-4 stainless steel, a precipitation-hardened alloy that holds up to the heat cycling and corrosive combustion byproducts that accumulate at the muzzle end of a suppressed host. The nitride finish adds a secondary layer of surface hardness and corrosion resistance without meaningfully changing the dimensions. At 2.5 ounces, it adds very little forward weight, and its low-profile geometry keeps the overall suppressed length close to what a direct-mount can would add on its own. The 1-1/16-inch wrench flats mean a standard open-end wrench is all that’s needed to torque it onto the host device.
