Description

The Lantac Dragon Plan-B Long is a full-length muzzle brake built for 6mm ARC shooters who need meaningful recoil management without sacrificing the ability to mount a suppressor hub downstream. Its core function centers on Lantac’s patented Short Energy Pulse system, which works by shortening the duration of the recoil impulse rather than simply redirecting gas. The practical effect is that successive shots do not compound one another — the rifle settles before the next round fires, which matters most in rapid strings where muzzle rise typically compounds with each shot.

The Plan-B interface is the other reason to choose this brake over a conventional Dragon. That threaded hub mount allows the brake to serve as a direct host for Plan-B compatible suppressor systems. The mount geometry is Lantac’s own design and is not licensed from Q LLC, which is worth understanding before pairing it with a Q suppressor under warranty.

Construction starts with AISI 4140 steel, which is then hardened and finished with a QPQ Nitride process performed to AMS2753D standards. QPQ — Quench Polish Quench — produces a surface that resists corrosion more aggressively than a standard phosphate or blued finish, and the hardening cycle brings the steel to a working hardness that holds up under the sustained heat of full-auto or high-volume semi-auto fire. Each unit is serial numbered and ships with a timing shim set so the brake indexes to the correct clock position on installation. Lantac recommends Rocksett semi-permanent thread locker for final torque.
