Description

The SureFire WARCOMP Sport is a dedicated flash hider for unsuppressed 7.62 rifles — a purpose-built alternative to the full WARCOMP, which is engineered around suppressor compatibility. Without the suppressor-mounting geometry to work around, SureFire was able to optimize the porting purely for muzzle flash reduction and recoil management. The result is a three-prong, open-tine design that routes propellant gases in a way that eliminates over 98% of visible muzzle flash, which matters most in low-light conditions where a single shot can destroy your dark-adapted vision and give away your position before you can reacquire the target.

The porting also counteracts muzzle rise directly. On a 7.62 platform, that impulse is significant enough to shift your reticle off target between shots, and keeping the muzzle flat is a practical advantage for anyone shooting quickly or engaging multiple targets. The effect is not cosmetic — it shortens the time between a fired shot and a stable sight picture for the follow-up.

Construction is heat-treated, U.S. mill-certified chromoly bar stock, precision-machined and individually inspected before leaving the factory. The Nitride QPQ coating sits on the surface rather than building up like a paint, which means it adds corrosion and wear resistance without altering the dimensional fit of the threads. Installation is straightforward and requires no permanent modification to the host rifle. Note that this model is not compatible with SureFire suppressors — it is designed exclusively for unsuppressed use.
