LANTAC 6MM DRAGON PLAN B SHT 5/8X24

Description

The Lantac Dragon Plan-B Short is a muzzle brake built for 6mm ARC rifles where recoil management and suppressor compatibility both matter. Its central design feature is Lantac’s patented Short Energy Pulse system, which shortens the recoil impulse itself rather than simply absorbing it. Because the impulse is compressed in duration, successive shots cannot overlap in their push against the shooter — a mechanical advantage that becomes most apparent during rapid fire, when accumulated muzzle rise typically costs the shooter their sight picture between rounds.

The brake is machined from AISI 4140 steel on Swiss lathes, then hardened and QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) nitrided to AMS2753D standards. QPQ nitriding is a surface treatment that works into the steel rather than coating over it, which means it does not add meaningful dimensional variability and is substantially more resistant to corrosion and wear than blued or phosphate finishes at comparable thickness.

The Plan-B interface is where this brake differs from the standard Dragon. The rear of the body is machined to accept Q LLC’s Plan-B HUB suppressor mount, letting the brake serve double duty as a standalone recoil device and a suppressor attachment point without any additional adapters. Lantac notes that because this mount geometry is not licensed from Q, suppressor warranties from Q may be affected — worth knowing before pairing it with a Q suppressor still under warranty. The brake ships with a timing shim set for correct clocking on a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle, and Lantac recommends Rocksett thread locker for final installation. Each unit is serial numbered at the factory.
