Description

The LANTAC Dragon Plan-B muzzle brake is built for 9mm pistol-caliber platforms where managing fast follow-up shots matters. It suits competition shooters, PCC builders, and anyone running a suppressor-capable host who wants a serious muzzle device rather than an afterthought.

The core of what separates this brake from a conventional design is LANTAC’s Short Energy Pulse system. Standard muzzle brakes redirect gas to counter felt recoil, but they do little about how long the recoil event lasts. The Short Energy Pulse approach shortens the duration of the recoil impulse itself, so the rearward push ends before the next round’s energy can compound on it. In practical terms, the muzzle returns to your point of aim between shots rather than chasing it back. That matters most during rapid strings where consecutive shots would otherwise stack recoil and pull you progressively off target.

The brake is machined from AISI 4140 steel on Swiss lathes, then hardened and finished with a QPQ nitride process to AMS2753D standards. QPQ adds meaningful corrosion resistance and surface hardness without adding coating thickness that could affect dimensions, which is why LANTAC specifies it for extended-use durability rather than just appearance.

The Plan-B Hub interface is the other defining feature. The brake’s mount geometry is compatible with the Plan-B HUB suppressor mounting system, letting you add a suppressor without removing the brake. Note that LANTAC’s mount design is not licensed from Q, so attaching a Q suppressor via this interface will affect that suppressor’s warranty — something worth factoring in before committing. The brake ships with a timing shim set for proper clocking, and LANTAC recommends Rocksett thread locker for final installation. Each unit is serial numbered at the factory.
