Description

The Blastphemy is a blast deflector built for shooters who run muzzle brakes or flash hiders and want to protect themselves and anyone nearby from the concussive overpressure and micro-concussions that those devices redirect laterally or rearward. By channeling that blast forward instead, it makes close-quarters or team shooting significantly more tolerable without altering the underlying muzzle device’s function.

It mounts directly onto HUXWRX HX-QD muzzle brakes and flash hiders up to .338 caliber, snapping into the same quick-detach interface those devices already use. When it is not in place over a muzzle device, it serves as a thread protector for the device’s own attachment point. The Bannar and Comp-STS are the two HUXWRX muzzle devices it will not fit, so confirm your host device before ordering.

The body is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a precipitation-hardened alloy chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. Sources differ on the surface treatment — one describes a C-Ceries Cerakote application, another a QPQ black nitride — so treat the specific finish type as unconfirmed, though both processes are applied specifically to improve surface hardness and weather resistance. The geometry is practical beyond its primary job: it works well when shooting from cover or in the prone position, where lateral blast against a hard surface would otherwise be punishing.
