Description

The Dragon Dead Air XENO Muzzle Brake is built for 9mm shooters who want a direct path to mounting a Dead Air XENO-compatible suppressor without giving up meaningful muzzle control in the meantime. Where a standard thread protector or bare muzzle does nothing to manage recoil impulse, this brake is doing real work between shots — its Short Energy Pulse geometry is designed so that successive recoil impulses do not stack, keeping the muzzle from climbing before the next round is fired. That matters most in fast strings and sustained fire, where cumulative muzzle rise normally forces a shooter to reset before reacquiring the sight picture.

The brake is machined from AISI4150 steel on Swiss lathes, then hardened to 48–52 Rc and given a QPQ Quench Polish Quench nitride finish processed to AMS2753D standards. Hardening at that Rockwell range gives the steel resistance to deformation under the blast pressures at the muzzle, and QPQ nitriding adds corrosion resistance without building up material on the threads or mating surfaces the way a coating would. The Dead Air XENO hub mount is fully licensed from Dead Air, so attaching a XENO-compatible suppressor does not affect that suppressor’s manufacturer warranty. The brake arrives with a timing shim set so it can be clocked correctly on the barrel without leaving torque on the threads. Lantac recommends Rocksett semi-permanent thread locker, sold separately, for final installation. Each brake is serial numbered at the factory.
