Description

The Lantac Dragon DGN762B-ASR is a muzzle brake built for .308/7.62 NATO shooters who want to run a SilencerCo suppressor without swapping muzzle devices between sessions. The brake half of the unit does real work on its own: Lantac’s patented gas handling system redirects propellant gas to counteract muzzle rise and felt recoil from the muzzle end, leaving the shooter with only the rearward push generated by the bolt carrier and buffer. The companion Short Energy Pulse design shortens the duration of each recoil event so that the impulse from one shot clears before the next builds — a meaningful advantage during rapid strings where overlapping recoil cycles tend to pull the muzzle off point of aim before the trigger breaks again.

The ASR interface adds a second function: direct mounting of SilencerCo’s Saker and Omega suppressors, as well as the SilencerCo Blast Shield, without an additional adapter. The body is machined from 4140 gun steel, hardened to 48 Rc, and finished in Black Nitride QPQ for corrosion resistance that goes beyond a surface coating. The brake threads onto a 5/8-24 muzzle and ships with a full shim set in multiple thicknesses — including 0.34 mm, 0.22 mm, 0.11 mm, and 0.075 mm shims plus a 2 mm washer — so the ports can be timed correctly without guesswork. Each unit carries a serial number for production traceability. Lantac recommends Rocksett thread locker for final installation; that is not included. Note that this brake is not compatible with Lantac’s own BMD Blast Mitigation Device.
