Description
The Lantac Dragon DGN9MMC-WM is a muzzle brake built specifically for the SIG MPX platform, designed to give shooters meaningful control during sustained fire rather than simply redirecting gas. Its patented Short Energy Pulse system works by shortening the recoil impulse itself, so the rearward force from one round dissipates before the next builds up. The practical result is that follow-up shots stay on target under rapid or automatic fire, where overlapping recoil energy would otherwise compound and push the muzzle off-axis.
Beyond recoil management, the Dragon doubles as a mount for the Dead Air Wolfman suppressor via Dead Air’s KEYMO interface. The mount design is fully licensed from Dead Air, which means using it does not affect the Wolfman’s manufacturer warranty — a meaningful consideration when pairing two separate manufacturers’ products. A Taper Lock adapter is included, as is a timing shim set to achieve correct clocking during installation. Lantac recommends Rocksett thread locker for final assembly, sold separately.
Construction is machined from AISI4140 steel on Swiss lathes, then hardened to 48–52 Rc and finished with a QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) nitride treatment to AMS2753D standards. That process produces a surface that resists corrosion and tolerates the heat and fouling environment at the muzzle end of a 9mm carbine far better than a simple phosphate finish would. The thread pitch is 13.5×1 LH, which is specific to the MPX barrel — this brake will not fit a standard right-hand threaded host. Each unit is individually serial numbered as part of Lantac’s quality control process and is manufactured in the USA.
