Description
The CMMG 30-round magazine in Flat Dark Earth is built for AR-15 and MK4 platform rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO or .223 Rem, and it suits anyone who wants a reliable, purpose-built magazine rather than a generic aftermarket option. The body is constructed from advanced polymer, which keeps weight down while standing up to the kind of abuse and weather exposure that would corrode or degrade a steel or aluminum alternative over time.
The exterior surface uses raised dot stippling combined with 360-degree reinforcement bands running the length of the body. These aren’t cosmetic — the stippling gives gloved or wet hands something to grab during a reload, and the reinforcement bands add structural resistance at the points most likely to flex or crack under pressure. In a timed or high-volume shooting context, that combination makes magazine manipulation noticeably more consistent.
Inside, an anti-tilt follower — finished in red — keeps the stack of rounds feeding at the correct angle throughout the entire capacity of the magazine. When the last round chambers, the red follower is visible in the ejection port and through the magazine well, giving you an immediate visual confirmation that the magazine is empty without counting rounds or waiting for the bolt to lock back. That immediate feedback matters during any situation where you’re managing multiple magazines under a time constraint.
The Flat Dark Earth finish matches CMMG’s own color family, making it straightforward to coordinate with FDE-finished rifles or accessories if that matters for your setup. The magazine ships ready to load and run in any standard AR-15 or MK4 lower receiver.
