The MDT AICS Long Action Polymer Magazine is built for hunters and precision shooters running CIP-length long action chassis or bottom metal systems. If your setup accepts AICS-pattern long action magazines, this drop-in replacement feeds reliably without the weight penalty of a metal magazine — the glass-filled nylon polymer construction keeps the whole unit at 2.0 oz, which matters when you’re carrying a rifle through rough country all day.

The polymer body does more than save weight. It damps the sound of insertion noticeably compared to metal, which is a practical advantage for hunters closing the final distance on an animal. The low-profile, snag-resistant profile also means the magazine won’t catch on brush or a pack when you’re moving through dense terrain.

Internally, the magazine uses a single-feed design that meters cartridges into the chamber one at a time from a controlled position, which supports consistent headspace presentation — important when running .300 Winchester Magnum loads at or near the maximum cartridge overall length of 3.630 inches. The 3.850-inch CIP pattern length sets the compatibility boundary here: this magazine works with MDT chassis and bottom metals built to that spec, but it is not compatible with Tikka T3 and T3x long action platforms, which use a different footprint.
